About Us

The Rookery Care Home is situated in a quiet residential area of Ebbw Vale, surrounded by leafy views at the head of the valley. Our expert team deliver excellent residential, dementia and respite care for older people with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

We’re proud to be a part of our local community and many of our staff have lived in Ebbw Vale all of their lives. This means we truly understand what ‘home’ means to the people we support, enabling us to offer comfort, familiarity and a unique home-from-home experience for local people.

Our local team and reputation have helped us establish strong links with local groups and organisations, such as schools and the church, ensuring our residents can remain active members of the local community with a varied social life.

There is never a dull moment at the Rookery and our vibrant activities programme is designed to brighten up any day. From our fun gentle exercise classes to a good old sing-along at our Karaoke afternoons, and arts and crafts for those quieter moments, variety is the spice of life at our home!

During the warmer months, our beautiful courtyard garden becomes the hub of our home. The raised planters allow our green-fingered residents to continue their love of gardening and contribute to the colourful displays for which our outside space has become known. Live music, entertainers and our summer fair are all highlights of summer at the Rookery.
